Founded in 2020 on Fly The World Virtual Economy, BonairVA started as a small group of friends who shared a passion for aviation. Initially, our growth was slow as we welcomed random pilots to join our virtual airline. However, everything changed in July 2022 when the economy underwent a major reset. We saw this as an opportunity to redefine our airline and set ourselves apart from the competition.
With the reset, we decided to completely change our mindset and take on the challenge of becoming a leading virtual airline in South Africa. We embarked on a comprehensive overhaul of BonairVA, starting with a fresh logo and a redesigned livery. We also recruited new staff members who shared our vision and set ambitious future plans in motion.
At BonairVA, our mission is to lead the way in the virtual aviation community by providing a rich environment tailored to both real-world aviation professionals and aviation enthusiasts. Whether you’re a novice just beginning your journey in flight simulation or a seasoned veteran with years of experience, our virtual airline welcomes enthusiasts of all levels of interest and expertise.
In June 2023, BonairVA achieved a significant milestone by being accepted into the VATSIM partner program. This partnership paved the way for a collaboration with VATSSA, further enhancing our standing in the virtual aviation world. We take great pride in promoting our valued partners and the mutual benefits we bring to one another.
